Professor Damien Riggs

Professor Damien Riggs is an Associate Professor in Social Work at Flinders University and an Australian Research Council Future Fellow. He is the author of over 200 publications in the fields of gender, family, and mental health, including research in the field of transgender studies focused on parenting, romantic relationships, interactions with health professionals, and children. His latest book (with Elizabeth Peel) Critical Kinship Studies: An Introduction is published by Palgrave. Damien is a co-editor of the Lexington Book Series ‘Critical Perspectives on the Psychology of Sexuality, Gender, and Queer Studies’.
